Ciudad amiga de la infancia EN

The municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu received recognition as a Child Friendly City in 2012. This recognition is a distinction awarded by UNICEF Spain, together with the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces and the University Institute of "Needs and Rights of Children and Adolescents" of the Autonomous University of Madrid (IUNDIA), to those municipalities committed to the fulfilment of the rights of children and adolescents in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). This seal has been renewed in 2021.

Being a Child Friendly City means translating the CRC to the local level, committing to implement policies that have an impact on the lives of children, through concrete actions and measures, providing them with resources and focusing on the most vulnerable in order to achieve equal opportunities and develop their full potential.
