After the steps taken by the City Council to recover this service, it is already possible to start asking for online appointments to carry out the issuance or renewal of the Identity Card Document (DNI) at the Multi-purpose building offices in Santa Eulària des Riu town so as to avoid unnecessary trips to Ibiza city. Applications should be made on Thursdays to be determined by the National Police Department, the first call would be open next day 16th of June. I would be possible to make an appointment through the Appointment Service (‘Cita Previa’) on the municipal website www.santaeulariadesriu.com.
Issuance or renewal of the Identity Card Document, “DNI” (only of this document, but not the NIE “Identification Number for foreigners” or passports, those will continue to be managed by the National Police Station located in Ibiza in “ Avenida de la Paz”) used to be a service provided in collaboration between the City Council and the National Police Department but it was suspended due to the pandemic sanitary restrictions. It is now resumed in order to save inconveniencies to the citizens of the municipality, especially those with mobility issues for which a displacement to Vila means an inconvenience.
Selected Thursdays are the days chosen by CNP to make such arrangements in the Multi-purpose building offices in María Riquer Wallis Street, number 4. Appointments can be requested through the section “Cita Previa” in the municipal website www.santaeulariadesriu.com and the steps will be made in two days. On the first day, citizens will have to submit the accurate paperwork in order to be able to manage the new document (on the website www.dnielectronico.es it is possible to check the required elements both for a first expedition and a renewal) and on the second one the badge will be already handed over to you.
So far next Thursday, June 16th has been set as the first processing day, and a week after the DNI delivery, June 23rd. During July, it will be possible to take the first steps on July 14th and to receive the document ready on the 21st. To be able to collect any card it is essential for the person concerned to come.
